Carver Earth Removal Committee continues Maxey hearing to October 6
Other Committee · Meeting of September 8, 2026
Carver's Earth Removal Committee continued Derek Maxey's public hearing to October 6 and approved $4,736.70 in operations and maintenance bills. The panel, meeting for 29 minutes, spent most of its time on a quarterly compliance visit to a cranberry bog restoration project at 104 Tremont Street, where committee member Judy reported "it was very dusty coming in and out" during an August 29 site tour and raised unresolved questions about irrigation sourcing. The board declined an October site visit, opting to resume its rotation in November.
Two residents, Gail DeThomaso and a commenter identified as Catherine, pressed the board on air-quality testing kits tied to an organization called CLWC, but the chair said "they have the knowledge where we don't," deferring the matter to the town's part-time Health Agent, Kevin Forg. The bills motion passed 7-0.
