CARVER — The Carver Conservation Commission voted 3-2 to recommend against the town exercising its Chapter 61A right of first refusal on roughly 337 acres on Wareham Street. Chairman Savery Moore said he "can't imagine the town having the money to purchase it," with members David Hall and Ann Chadwick-Dias dissenting. Separately, the commission voted 5-0 to direct Conservation Agent Olivia Prior, absent from the meeting, to proceed with enforcement and daily fines, retroactive to August 1, 2026, against the owner of 16B Wenham Road, after an unidentified neighbor described a "spite fence" and an unremoved manure pile and stockpile in a buffer zone.
The commission also approved a $300 initial mow and $200 per-mow maintenance quote for town-owned 44 Lakeview Street, 5-0, and a septic repair at 103 Tremont Street, 5-0.
