Conservation 2026-09-23 Part 2 · Meeting of September 23, 2026

Carver's Conservation Commission handled routine business, flagging an October 9 deadline for its fiscal 2028 budget request. A staff member reported taking a $20 wetland soils identification course in Canton taught by instructor John Rockwell, calling him "the wetlands guy of southeast Mass." The board scheduled site visits for October 7, including a newly filed Request for Determination of Applicability and a follow-up inspection at 130 North Main Street, where an earlier visit found "they didn't have the road knocked out." Members also discussed a pending wetlands case at 0 Rochester Road involving one or two wells inside the buffer zone, briefly confusing it with an earlier, unrelated well case on Kramer Road. The board voted unanimously to adjourn.
