Carver Select Board Approves New Election Tabulators, Health Benefits Trust Agreement

CARVER -- March 31, 2026, Carver Select Board unanimously replaces aging election tabulators and signs a municipal health benefits trust agreement. The board voted Tuesday to decertify its AccuVote election tabulators and adopt new ImageCast machines, acting on a request from Town Clerk Dayhill, who told the board the old vendor "is no longer supporting" the equipment and that the transition had been funded in advance with previously set-aside money. "I never would have given up my old equipment if they would have supported it," Dayhill said. The board also unanimously signed the Massachusetts Interlocal Insurance Association Health Benefits Trust Agreement, with Chair Jared Ewing publicly thanking Attorney John Clifford and insurance broker Sue Shalhou for "hours and hours of work" guiding the town through the process.
