CARVER — June 17, 2026 — Carver Conservation Commission votes unanimously to order cleanup of Wenham Pond buffer zone. The commission, meeting June 17, approved an enforcement letter directing the owner of 16B Wenham Road to remove stockpiled organic material, burn pile debris, and associated stored materials from within 100 feet of Wenham Pond by July 31, 2026, citing an uncertified wetlands delineation by Fieldstone Engineering dated March 31, 2025 as the boundary reference. An abutting neighbor told the board the manure pile is spilling onto her land, that unauthorized burning continued after the matter first came to the commission in March — drawing a fire department response — and that the owner hired workers to erect a fence on the property as recently as last Saturday despite a harassment prevention order. Commission members said daily fines, each constituting a separate offense, will accrue after the deadline, with a lien recorded at the registry against the deed. The commission also accepted a $1,000 donation from the Peterson family directed to the management and protection of Sampson's Pond in memory of David W.
