At its May 20 meeting the commission unanimously approved certificates of compliance for 58 Bunnies Road, 116 Meadow Street, and a three-array solar installation at 104 Tremont Street, then voted 4-0 to close and unanimously to approve a notice of intent for 19 Rochester Road, SC 126-707, after the applicant confirmed a neighboring well sits roughly 197 feet from the project area. The most contested item involved a new hearing for George and Victoria Arponen's proposed modular-home reconstruction at 222 Tremont Street, where the original dwelling burned in 2024; consultant Amanda Langer of JDE Civil presented a plan relocating the house to approximately 66 feet from the wetland line — up from the original structure's 40-foot setback — but the commission continued the hearing to June 3 after directing the applicant to submit a revised plan showing the full route of a required split-rail fence along the 65-foot no-touch buffer, including a five-foot variance step at the house corner to allow basement access.
