Carver Earth Removal Committee Schedules April 18 Inspection, Presses Permit Closures

CARVER — April 7, 2026 — Carver's Earth Removal Committee pressed multiple permit holders toward formal closures and scheduled a multi-site April 18 inspection at its April 7 meeting. The six-member board, welcoming newly sworn-in member Mike Wainio, voted 6-0 to approve a $363 operations and maintenance expenditure for cold-patch pothole repair and directed staff to notify permit holder Eric Pontiff that his 2021 Cedar Meadow earth-removal permit off Ward Street has expired by operation of law with no work ever performed. Agent Rob Pike cleared a Zero Meadow Street enforcement complaint — concluding that lift-pump installation for an agricultural water supply is exempt from permitting — and confirmed that debris at 104 Tremont Street was remediated by operator Mike Diamond within 24 hours of notification.
