Carver COA Board Moves Meetings to 6 p.m., Cancels Summer Sessions
CARVER — June 26, 2025 — Carver Council on Aging Board votes to shift meeting time to 6 p.m. and suspend summer sessions. The Board of Directors voted unanimously at its June 26 meeting to move its regular fourth-Thursday monthly meetings from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., cancel July and August gatherings, and skip its Carver Night Out booth — all three votes approved without opposition. The outgoing chair, whose appointment expires June 30, noted the earlier time had been hurting attendance. The board also received a director's report showing 601 active registered seniors, up from 500 roughly three months ago, with 1,278 total meals served in the latest reporting period. Incoming member Marie Fahey joins the board July 1, and reorganization to elect a new chair is set for the September 25 meeting at 6 p.m. Approval of the April 2025 minutes was deferred to September after the agenda incorrectly labeled them as May minutes.
