Carver COA Board Welcomes Two Members, Tables Officer Reorganization Until October
CARVER — September 25, 2025 — Carver Council on Aging board tables officer reorganization, welcomes two new members at first meeting since spring. The board, chaired for the evening by Vice Chair Elaine Raymond in place of Chair Mary DeRoss, voted unanimously to postpone its planned officer election after a prospective officeholder was delayed by rain. Director Connie Kelly presented a three-month report showing GATRA trips averaging above 760 per month over the summer, combined daily meal service of roughly 56 congregate and home-delivered meals per weekday, and 216 unduplicated senior visitors to the center since July 1. Kelly reported the COA parking lot and adjacent roadway were repaved in a four-day town operation completed the day before the meeting, and that SHINE counselor Heidi is being relocated to a ground-floor office before Medicare open enrollment opens October 15. New full member Marie Fahy and new alternate Damon Fisher, a Meals on the Move driver volunteer, were formally introduced. The board's next meeting is set for October 23.
