CARVER — December 23, 2025 — Carver Select Board refers open meeting law complaint to town counsel and approves a last-minute liquor license. The board voted unanimously at its December 23 meeting to send a complaint received December 16 under the Massachusetts open meeting law to town counsel for response. In a separate unscheduled action, the board unanimously approved a 2026 wine and malt, off-premise consumption license for Carver Gas Corporation after Town Administrator Cannon explained that the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission had not issued its state approval for the underlying 2025 license until December 17 — one day after the board's standard batch renewal vote. The board also disclosed it had held an executive session earlier the same day to discuss litigation strategy involving a party identified as Cranberry Point.
