Carver Planning Board Approves Second Industrial Building at Ricketts Pond Drive
CARVER — October 28, 2025 — Carver Planning Board approves industrial permit with 19 conditions and continues solar hearing on wetland concerns. The board voted 4-0 on the special permit and 3-0 on the site plan for a second light industrial building at 3 Ricketts Pond Drive, LLC, a project in the Spring Street Innovation Zoning District, with conditions including box-truck-only access, a relocated monitoring well, and a ban on additional parking spaces. Peer reviewer Andy Glynes of Fuston O'Neill confirmed all prior comments had been addressed and offered to produce a separate memo establishing monitoring well testing frequency for the broader subdivision, a proposal member Mr. Shea called a future headache-saver. The board then continued the William Street Solar 2, LLC hearing — a nearly 5-megawatt ground-mounted solar and battery storage system requiring roughly 26 acres of tree clearing — to November 25 after members raised questions about wetland buffers, fire department access, battery storage specifications, and whether the existing Hammond Street solar array on the same property holds adequate street frontage.
