Planning Board · Meeting of August 25, 2026

Carver's Planning Board voted to release $55,000 of a $75,000 bond held for the Whistleberry Glen subdivision, keeping $20,000 pending final paperwork. The developer said T&K Asphalt had finished the subdivision road and 13 of 14 driveways, with the last delayed by a storage pod. Town Planner Sean Lewis recommended retaining $25,000, saying the developer "has done exactly what he said he was going to do." Vice Chair Mari Ellen Williams asked for caps on exposed fence posts, calling it something that would keep "everybody driving anybody crazy." One member told the developer the release reflected trust: "it tells me that you can be trusted." The board also heard Lewis explain a Chapter 41, Section 81L exemption allowing a four-lot ANR split at 40 Wareham Street for buildings predating the town's 1962 subdivision control law, though the meeting recording does not confirm a vote on that item.
